ramblings...

first of all, i just want to say that i am having the best two days ever! last night i found something out that made me very very happy...i felt something again that i was scared i never would. i will go into this in more detail another time...but for now, ya'll have to wait, although, a few of you know that i'm referring to...(thanks naeem ).

the second awesome thing is that rebecca quit her crazy job. lol...ok, so that isn't the awesome part...but now that she is free she can come visit me at the beach next week! i am SO excited! i know i just saw her...but i'm addicted now. lol. i will also get to see a special someone else, which makes me equally happy. God is SO good to me...i don't deserve it!

so yeah...i'm going back to the armpit for a second visit. this time, though, i will be going with my sister, her husband, and my nephews. sooooo, i'm sure my trip will be a bit crazier! oh well...i'm still looking forward to it.

um. has anyone else heard about the 21 people that were arrested today in london for trying to get to america carrying liquid BOMBS?! can we say CRAZY! when will this crap stop? seriously. i just don't understand what these people think they're proving by bombing and killing americans? i mean, they are definitely pissing everyone off...but unless they can wipe out america as a whole, they're really only screwing themselves. with that said, i really hope they don't wipe us out...that would suck.

wow...i'm really babbling on about randomness.

it's only 3:37 and i am already bored to tears. only 9 more days 'till austin, then i can attach myself to colleen for two weeks until my job starts on the 1st. i'm sure she'll appreciate that! lol.

ok. i need to go shower 'cause i jogged and worked a bit and i'm not so pretty right now. imagine that.

adios.

visiting pa

long time, no update. *sigh* oh well, i guess that's what happens when you're busy? who knows. anyway...i am currently back home in PA visiting for a few weeks, while also helping my parents restore their new house. goodtimes. it's hard work, but better than a 9-5 job i suppose.

i've been hanging out with my family and extended family 24/7 since i came home almost two weeks ago! CRAZY. i'm surprised i'm not completely insane yet. two nights ago i slept over at my sister's house with my 2 aunts, 1 uncle, two cousins, sister, brother-in-law and 9 CHILDREN...that's right, 9. three of them were my nephews and the rest were my cousins' children. all i can say is THANK GOD I'M SINGLE! LOL. i guess i'm just not ready for that yet. maybe someday...

anyway, despite the craziness, i'm having a good time. it's nice to be away from things and able to just relax and be myself. although, i am missing austin and my austin friends. lol. i guess i can't have it all.

ummmm. what else? not too much to write about. i'm definitely going back to austin and serving with americorps for one more year. i will be living in a townhouse with two random girls whom i do not know. so next year shall be interesting.

ok. well, there's my update. adios and goodnight!

it's almost june?

wow, so when did summer get here? well, it has been feeling like summer here in austin for a few months now. but yeah...enough about the weather.

so, i haven't updated in awhile, and i'm sure my "readers" are very disappointed. anyway...here's what's new. i have one more month of my first year of americorps (ACEE), then i'll be working as a summer camp counselor at a rec. center near my apartment. then i'll be doing another year of ACEE back at the same school i did this year. yeah, i completely fell in love with my kids and some of the teachers...i can't imagine going anywhere else. um...i was dating a guy from austin, but things just didn't match up. so, we're friends. um...i love my friends here and i'm SO thankful for them. i love my church. i've been exercising a lot lately, but then eating really badly...so, i don't know if that's good. yeah...that's about it. *sigh*

God has been blessing me beyond measure and for that i am VERY greatful!

i'm starting to stalk a guy that works at my bank...goodtimes.

i'm going back to pa in july for a little visit, then to n.j. in sept. for a friend's wedding. goodtimes.

i miss the northeast. i think i'm definitely gonna go back to grad. school next year, and most likely go back north. i miss the cold...ha.

DUDLEY...we need to hang out. call me!!!!!!!!!

ok. sorry for the lame update. later...

back in austin...

spring break is over...well, i guess it isn't officially over until 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning when i start work again. *sigh*...it went so fast. it was nice to be back home with my family for a week...but the week left me full of confusion. i was convinced before i went home that i was probably going to move to philadelphia in july...back with my college friends and a LOT closer to my family. however, after my two-day stay in philly and the "non-singleness" feel of central, pa....i started to wonder if that is really where i want to be? however, as much as i'd love to stay in a land where being 25 and single is NORMAL, i'm not yet convinced that i want to spend another year or so far away from the people i love most in life. so now i'm confused. where should i go?? i guess time and LOTS of prayer will tell...

aside from my family, i was able to see some friends i used to work with...we went to a karaoke contest in hicktown, pa. the contest lasts for 4 weeks and the winner receives $500!!!! so yeah, i definately entered and i'd be SO excited if i won...but there were some pretty good singers there. anyway...

i also got to spend some "ok" time with my friend jillian in philly...although, sad to say, she seems to have changed a lot since she got married. it was very weird. i also saw and stayed with sam from college...she was very kind to have a room for me and we had a lot of fun. and last but not least, i saw my oldest friend steph. she too was recently married, but she is not at all different!!! it was SO nice to see her! so yeah.

ummm...what else? my friend spess from home just moved to dallas...so now i have two friends up there. they are coming down here next weekend to visit...i'm looking forward to that.

the next month will be very fun...here's why:
*spess and maybe scott are coming next weekend
*in two weeks i am going to see kenny chesney, sugarland and dierks bentley
*in two and a half weeks i will be turning 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*in three weeks my mom and dad are visiting for a week!!

this year is flying by!!

OH! i almost forgot...i went on a semi-blind date a few days before spring break. the guy, justin, was very nice and extremely funny! there really wasn't a "spark" though...so i'm not sure if i'll see him again or not.

ok. update ends now.

not good...

I drink good coffee every morning
Comes from a place that's far away
And when I'm done I feel like talking
Without you here there is less to say
I don't want you thinking I'm unhappy
What is closer to the truth
That if I lived till I was 102
I just don't think I'll ever get over you
I'm no longer moved to drink strong whisky
'Cause I shook the hand of time and I knew
That if I lived till I could no longer climb my stairs
I just don't think I'll ever get over you
Your face it dances and it haunts me
Your laughter's still ringing in my ears
I still find pieces of your presence here
Even after all these years
But I don't want you thinking I don't get asked to dinner
'Cause I'm here to say that I sometimes do
Even though I may soon feel the touch of love
I just don't think I'll ever get over you
If I lived till I was 102
I just don't think I'll ever get over you
